St John’s Church serves the community of Furness Vale. St John’s was built by public subscription and consecrated as a daughter church of St Mary’s Disley in March 1912. Before that date the increase in housing and population in the Furness Vale area lead to the holding of services, from 1870, in a room attached to a local factory.
St John’s is seeking to be a church family that embraces all ages, where prayer and a real love for God lies at the heart of all that we are and do. We are a friendly, open evangelical Church where all are welcome and seek to be modern and relevant in the outworking of our faith valuing our links with the local community.
